Plative is looking for an Accountant to join its growing Finance Team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work in a high-growth organization where they can learn and contribute to the company's success, with a lot of opportunity for personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support Accounting Manager with month-end journal entries and working papers, balance sheet reconciliations, and income statement analysis
- Assist with year-end closure and review with external accountants
- Ensure compliance and reporting for all government programs including GST, WCB, EHT, Payroll Remittances, Corporate Tax
- Prepare Bank Reconciliations
- Review and finalize client invoices. Ensure invoices are accurate and meet client billings requirements
- Manage collections and customer AR aging
- Monitor accounts payable functions, ensuring that all vendor invoices are approved and paid timely, and AP aged balances are reviewed frequently
- Prepare intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Partner with the Operations and HR team to streamline processes
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll
- Prepare monthly sales commissions calculations
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-4 years experience in prior Finance and/or Accounting roles necessary, with at least 1 year in public accounting, preferred
- Advance proficiency with MS Excel and Word
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, high integrity, and high-performance standards in producing all reports and materials
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and organized
- Self-starter, with strong ability to work independently and cross functionally
- Energetic and collaborative team member able to work with the team to achieve company objectives
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with a Services or Consulting business is strongly preferred
- Experience with ADP
- Experience and knowledge with ERP accounting system. Accounting Seed and/or NetSuite.
- Experience with Salesforce.
- Strong skills in Google suite of software apps
