Senior Manager, Solution Architecture

The Senior Manager, Head of Solution Architecture will lead Plative’s team of Solution Architects and Solution Consultants who are dedicated to supporting both pre-sales solution design & scoping as well as post-sales process discovery, solution architecture, and strategic advisory & planning for our clients. This team supports all of Plative’s consulting offerings spanning Plative Inspire, Transform and Innovate and across all technology stacks including Salesforce, NetSuite and cross-cloud integrations.


The Senior Manager, Solution Architecture role will report to the Vice President, Head of Professional Services and will be responsible to:

  • Define and enforce consistent solution scoping methodology, guidelines and templates 
  • Assign pre- and post-sales activities to team members to ensure the right balance and prioritization between pre- and post-sales focus
  • Maintain strong partnership and collaboration with both sales and delivery leaders 
  • Manage the full talent lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, development planning and performance management of new hires and existing team members
  • Enable and train Solution Architects and Solution Consultants on standard methodologies and best practices
  • Coach team members on both pre- and post-sales deliverables, and ensure Plative’s high quality standards are met
  • Monitor and optimize team metrics such as utilization, contribution to sales wins, SOW creation time, scoping accuracy, and resource planning accuracy
  • Assist sales with delivering executive-level solution presentations and summarizing business impact with pinpoint relevance to the customer

In addition to the above team leadership responsibilities, this role will also directly support pre-sales efforts (as an individual contributor) on some of the more complex and high value opportunities. Individual responsibilities will include:

  • Pre-sales discovery
  • Business process alignment & advisory
  • Solution architecture
  • Scoping and estimation
  • Resource planning in partnership with delivery leaders
  • Proposal development 
  • Sales presentations/demos 


Desired Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience identifying and documenting business process requirements, developing process flow analysis, data modeling, functional design experience, and creating project plans
  • Proven ability to design and optimize business processes and integrate processes across disparate systems and teams, incorporating best practices
  • Solid presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to influence others to successfully increase deal size and accelerate the buying process
  • Proven ability to effectively partner with disparate, competing internal business stakeholders 
  • Proven ability to manage conflict and critical conversations with poise and professionalism
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies
  • Experience designing, building, and customizing solutions for Salesforce and Netsuite.
  • Experience with enterprise BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, QLIK, Domo, etc..)
  • Experience designing, building, or customizing Data Lakes & Warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, Azure SQL, BigQuery, etc..)
  • Experience designing, building, or customizing integrations leveraging enterprise ETL (SSIS, Data Factory, Talend, Informatica) & iPaaS tools (Mulesoft, Boomi, Celigo, Jitterbit, etc..)
