Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) has been around for some time, as it was officially launched by Oracle in 2017.

The OIC is an integral component of the NetSuite family. You can expect to hear more about the NetSuite Integration Platform (NSIP) as we move forward.

At Plative, we are very excited to use this new tool, which is robust and built for NetSuite.

Benefits of Using NSIP

NSIP application has many benefits such as:

  • Pre-built adapters and connectors for faster integration with a variety of systems.
  • Real-time data synchronization between NetSuite and other applications.
  • Simplified process automation and orchestration.
  • Scalability and flexibility to support growing business needs.
  • Enhanced visibility and analytics through unified data.

My Experience Using NSIP for The First Time

As the leader of NetSuite development efforts here at Plative, I hold certifications for Celigo and Boomi, among other applications, and took some time for myself to explore NSIP. I consulted the guidance from Oracle, and within three hours, I successfully established an sFTP integration. Some of that time was dedicated to enabling sFTP on my server, as well as securing my access to Oracle Cloud.

I will say that it was an easy setup and I got the pre-built connector enabled.  I then entered the credentials of my server and of NetSuite and my sample file got moved from my server to the NetSuite file cabinet without issue.

I found that the user interface of the NetSuite Integration Platform is quite intuitive and user-friendly. The flows are depicted in processes connected by arrows, and you can zoom out to view the overall picture (summary of the processes).

You can then expand on the process to see more details:

There are a lot of pre-built adapters and we’re confident Oracle NetSuite will add to this list rapidly in the coming months.
