Fun facts about Plative Game Changer, Desiree Henry-Moya
- I am an entrepreneur at heart and spent about six years running a photo booth company. I enjoyed bringing smiles to weddings, parties, graduation ceremonies, and even corporate events before joining Plative.
- Back in high school, I attended an art vocational school where my days were filled with artistic expression. I dabbled in various mediums of photography, graphic arts, and all kinds of creative projects.
- On the personal side, I am very close to my family – I have a son who’s about to start his third year of college, a lovable seven-year-old dog, a playful three-year-old cat and I also take care of my 92-year old grandmother.
What do you do at Plative?
I am a Senior Consultant for Salesforce within the Innovate Practice at Plative. My current role involves working with our clients to understand their business needs and working with our team members to build a solution to meet those requirements.
As project lead, I am also the project manager for most of my projects and work on tracking the overall project progress and building relationships with our clients.
What’s your favorite thing to do where you currently live?
I live in New York City, and there’s always something exciting to do here – which I absolutely love. Lately I’ve really been enjoying going to concerts and music festivals, art galleries and visiting different parks, like the Brooklyn Bridge Park which faces the City and has a beautiful view and spaces to relax, eat or do any activity. Occasionally I’ll go to a Met’s game with my son who is a huge fan.
One of my favorite spots and a hidden gems is Governors Island, a little island off Manhattan. You can get there by a short five-minute ferry ride, but it feels like a world away. I enjoy the tranquility of the island – there’s a variety of things to do from the spa, to go-karts and hammocks to nap in. Spending a day there feels like a mini-vacation.
What would you do if you didn’t choose your career path?
Perhaps owning a cozy little cafe by the beach, where people can come to enjoy breakfast and lunch while listening to music and enjoying art by local artists.
