#PlativeGameChangers | Meet Nicole Sauer!

Meet Nicole Sauer, Talent Acquisition Manager at Plative!

Fun Facts:

  • My brother Justin is my one and only sibling and we have the same birthday, except we’re not twins – we were born 5 years apart.  He was born almost exactly five years before me, down to the HOUR! We’re best friends and extremely close. I believe in astrology to an extent, so I believe this has something to do with it – soul twins!
  • Bruce Springsteen kissed me on the cheek and I blacked out. I live in the same state and county as Bruce and I’ve held two brief conversations with him when we used to frequent the same gym. My gym buddy outed me as his “biggest fan” and he proceeded to hug me and kiss me on the cheek.
  • I have been a loyal, die-hard, Third Eye Blind fan for the past 20 years! I stopped counting the number of shows I’ve been to after I hit 20. I must be near 30 shows at this point. My last show, unfortunately, got canceled last year due to COVID-19.

What do you do at Plative?

I lead all aspects of talent acquisition as Plative’s Talent Acquisition Manager. I focus on full-lifecycle recruitment, strategic initiatives, and continuous cultivation of our processes to improve both the candidate experience and our employee experience. My primary goals at Plative are to continuously scale and grow our company by identifying the right talent and to ensure we’re maintaining our incredible culture. This involves hiring not only the right skillset but hiring good human beings that resonate with our company values.

Why did you choose to work for Plative?

I worked for another similar sized Salesforce consulting partner prior to joining the team, so I had already been in the Salesforce ecosystem for 3 and 1/2 years. I made the move to Plative for a few reasons. I was super impressed by the growth and success that Plative achieved in such a short period of time, so I knew this organization was doing something right! Also, the culture and people blew me away. Everyone at Plative is not only incredibly smart and driven but also humble and good human beings. I know I mentioned “good human beings” in the last question, but this goes such a long way. We spend the majority of our lives working and you want to be sure you’re surrounding yourself with the right energy.

What did you eat for breakfast today?

Every morning I have some combination of the following (not all): scrambled egg whites, avocado toast, a smoothie, or beyond meat sausage, I’ve been a vegetarian for almost 2 years now! I’m a creature of habit…Virgo trait (there’s that astrology again!)

What’s your favorite thing to do where you currently live?

I live two blocks from the ocean in Asbury Park, NJ and I adore this town for its rich culture, history, and diversity. My favorite thing to do in Asbury is to see live music – the music scene is on absolute fire here. I live just a few blocks from the historic venue, The Stone Pony, and can hear music from my apartment on summer nights. I sorely missed this last year because of the pandemic.

What would you do if you didn’t choose your career path?

I have always had such a passion for writing and would love to be a writer, perhaps a novelist or journalist. I studied English and journalism in college and used to write poetry and creative non-fiction. I’ve also always had an interest in getting into a profession that helps others with either physical health (Nutritionist) or mental health (Psychologist).
