What do you do at Plative?
I dabble in both solution engineering and project management on a number of projects at Plative. During downtime, I’ll join internal process review meetings, work toward certs, grab coffee with the team, and work on app development. In the time I’ve been at Plative I’ve learned more than I could have ever imagined. Each client offers a different learning opportunity; a different Salesforce use case or a different vertical. My goal is to accurately assess their business goals, determine their vision, and bring it to life.
What is your favorite team activity?
Group spin classes!
What is the coolest thing you’re currently working on?
I’m currently working with a client to enhance their quote to contract to cash process. I’m excited to take some of the burdens off their sales team by implementing CPQ and Nintex DocGen to automate their entire process!
How did you get to Plative?
I graduated from college with the goal of making a difference in whatever way possible. I knew I loved communication, organization, and problem-solving. I was lucky enough to have my introduction to Salesforce right out of college, and on top of that, the most incredible manager in the world. I quickly realized Salesforce would give me the proper tools to assist in evolving day-to-day employee tasks in order to refocus responsibilities on skills specific to the worker. I think everyone should go to work because they love it, have the opportunity to be challenged and proud of their accomplishments – not bogged down in busy work!
Why did you choose Plative?
I wanted to work at a small company with passion and high energy. I wanted the ability to design and implement scalable solutions, and a company that supported solution integrity and creative thinking.
Who do you sit next to at work, and what’s the best quality about them?
I sit next to Joel in the office. I don’t think there’s been a single day he hasn’t asked how I’m doing, and I don’t know that I’ve ever seen him upset. He works so hard all the time, pulls late hours, and still can always manage a smile!
If you could go back to your first day, what advice would you give yourself?
Recognize feedback as a blessing, but also recognize feedback given without a call to action, reframe it in a way that makes it constructive, and discuss your resulting actions with the other party to ensure you’re aligned.
Any weird quirks?
I cannot interact with dogs without speaking in a “dog voice”. It’s like I forget my normal voice.
If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with all that extra time?
Go snowboarding! Or in summer, hiking.
Dogs or cats? Why?
DOGS. Cats can’t fetch or go hiking.
What would you tell someone who’s thinking of applying for a job here?
At Plative, you don’t have to be afraid to speak your mind and take initiative!
