What is your role at Plative?

I’m a NetSuite Developer on the Delivery Team. As a developer, I work with clients and internal team members to design, configure, implement, and deploy solutions after thoroughly analyzing and understanding the client’s business requirements.

If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?

At this time, I’d love the ability to heal any person fallen ill from sickness or disease! Being able to help others is the best superpower.

What was your favorite Plative team outing?

My favorite office event was the summer BBQ potluck where our friends and family joined the Plative Toronto Team. Every Plative team member brought a dish that he or she cooked so it was extremely fun tasting all the great dishes and seeing everyone’s cooking abilities.

I made cheese stuffed jalapenos and sope!

If you could go back to day 1, what advice would you give yourself?

If I could go back and give advice to my past self, I would tell her to leave the contractor world and go into a full-time role. I  worked as a contractor for 8 years before moving into a full-time role and although I liked the flexibility of being a contractor, I always wanted to go into a full-time role. I was nervous about leaving my comfort zone which was why I stayed as a contractor longer than I wanted to. However, I finally built the courage to move into a full-time position.

Working full time at a company like Plative has allowed me to build relationships and friendships, collaborate with clients and colleagues, and expand my network. I also love working on multiple projects and leveraging my skill sets. I have no regrets about moving from a contractor to a full-time role so for people who are in my position, I encourage you to take a leap of faith!
